About Our Vision
ROOTED IN EAST KNOXVILLE
Logan Temple's story is part of the larger story of East Knoxville—a community shaped by generations of Black life, faith, family, resilience, and change.
As neighborhoods evolve and communities face new challenges, preserving places of historic and cultural significance becomes an important part of preserving community memory.
Logan Temple represents a connection between the people who helped shape the community and those who will determine what it becomes next.
Our responsibility is not simply to look backward with pride. It is to carry the lessons, values, and strength of our history into the future.
PRESERVING THE LEGACY. BUILDING WHAT'S NEXT.
Every generation inherits a story. Every generation must decide how to carry it forward.
Today, Logan Temple is looking toward the future while honoring the foundation that brought us here.
Through L.I.F.T. Logan—Love, Innovation, Faith, and Trust—we are working to preserve our legacy, strengthen our church, and explore new opportunities to serve our community.
That future includes caring for the place we call home, building meaningful partnerships, and considering how the church can continue to support children, families, and the next generation.
We believe that honoring our history and imagining a better future are not competing responsibilities. They are part of the same calling.
THE STORY CONTINUES
The history of Logan Temple is still being written.
It lives in our congregation, in our service, in our community, and in every person who believes that this legacy is worth carrying forward.
Whether you have been part of Logan Temple for generations or are discovering our story for the first time, you are invited to learn, connect, and become part of what comes next.
Rooted in Legacy. Built for Tomorrow.
